The Breathwork Process

On April 21st we're here again! Opening the doorway to non-ordinary states of consciousness through the simple process of deep breath accompanied by a two-hour mixed set of especially evocative music.

Our Breathwork Experience has been compared to the effects of *plant medicine* practiced by shamans in indigenous cultures, or to the mystic's trance evoked through prayer, dance, deprivation or other edge-state experiences practiced in cultures throughout the ages. Whether we journey into our bigger story through our Personal Unconscious, the Transpersonal or the Cosmic levels of awareness, many report feeling changed by a healing experience, a slow dawning of deep knowing, body awareness of limitless love and compassion, the sense of having the cobwebs brushed away and mind, body and soul refreshed and clear, and often a flash of inspiration that leads to the next right step on our path of personal growth and transformation.

This work is experienced within a group of like-minded others having an individual experience. Without expectation or anything required, we share the common experience of uniquely personal inner work. And so we return again and again whenever we feel drawn to come. As many of you have come to expect, this work is forever fresh and new no matter how much we've *breathed.* This meditative experience is as multi-faceted and individual as we each are. No two Breathworks alike. Always a surprise. And usually just exactly what we need.

In preparation for the day you'll want to dress in comfortable yoga-type clothes. And bring a bedroll or blanket or quilts, warm covering and a pillow as if you're camping out. This work of heart is begun while lying on our back. Cushioning is especially helpful to the process. The whole Breathwork Process is completed by creating a mandala that represents your journey, group sharing, and a closing ceremony.

Grazing choices are offered for our two-hour lunch break: hummus, dippers, veggies, fruit, nuts, chocolate, along with coffee and teas. You are welcome to use the refrigerator if you want to bring your own lunch. As with any meditative practice, eating lightly works best.

If you haven't experienced Maggie McIlvaine's Bridge Between the Worlds prepare to feel captured by the natural beauty, places to wander and sit by the lake, and the enveloping serenity of our process room.
